You embody a mental patient with a straight jacket trying to escape from a psychiatric prison. In order to achieve it, you have to complete puzzles by pushing the green boxes through the special square (marked with X, smiley, colored,...).
The complexity increases as you pass through levels until insanity. There are 60 challenging levels and two game modes: Story mode, in which you have to advance through 5 different locations, and Temple Challenge, an extra location with 10 extra rooms to solve. You can toggle the cam to have a better view of what you have to do to solve the room.
There are different characters for choosing. But some of them are paid, so you will have to purchase. We don't really like this payment system, we prefer to upgrade to a paid version with all the characters unlocked. Apart from characters there are way more achievements and features to unlock. You can share your scores on online leaderboards through OpenFeint platform.
There isn't a screen joypad, you just need to tap where you want to go. Intuitive and easy controls. What's more, the game is set in cool 3D graphics and we've noticed no lag and a fast performance. Actually, the main difference with Sokoban is its great 3D graphics. It wide opens its playability. The game is available currently in English, French and Spanish. There's a tutorial included in the three languages.
Psychoban has been developed by Dedalord, a settled mobile game developer who's reaching great success thanks to Psychoban and other titles like Falling Fred.
Psychoban is a classic idea of game redesign for mobile devices and set in cool 3D graphics. High recommendable.
